Pixel Art
My secret passion. While I yearn to be a Real Illustrator who can do all sorts of commercially viable things, all I really want to do is make pixel art. I get a kick out of playing with limited palettes, small resolutions, and creating tile-sets.
Pixel art is the medium where I feel most comfortable creating and animating, and it has essentially become a form of therapy for me.

The Beach

Tunnels
Characters and tiles for a Terraria style game

Tower Girls
An exercise to keep me motivated. I resolved to do one per day. And hey, I made it five weeks, that’s pretty respectable.

Deep in the Machine
A mockup for a metroidvania style game. I might actually make this. I want to create an environment reminiscent of the machine-world shown in “I have no Mouth and I Must Scream”, where the player is a single living human inside a giant, sentient machine.

Adventure Time GB Mockups
A little personal project. I re-imagined Adventure Time as an RPG for the gameboy, as an early exercise in animation and limited palette use.

The Treehouse
More Adventure Time stuff. I used to be pretty heavily into that show. I also wanted an excuse to practice isometric perspective.

The Brackenwood Brotherhood

The Corrupted Cathedral
This church has been taken over by a wicked necromancer. Perhaps some brave adventurers could defeat him and restore order to this parish.

The Keeper of the Sacred Flame

Maybe it's Better This Way
Part 1 in a series of pixel illustrations featuring characters enjoy a peaceful moment in a post-apocalyptic world.
